Dear Hussey Families,
As we enter the month of March, I want to take a moment to reflect on all the wonderful things happening here at Hussey Elementary. The first half of the school year has been filled with growth, learning, and excitement. It has been a joy to see our students thrive both academically and personally.
In celebration of Read Across America, we will be hosting a variety of fun and engaging activities during the first week of March. These events are designed to inspire our students and foster a lifelong love of reading. From our Read-a-thon to special guest readers and classroom reading challenges, there will be plenty of opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the magic of books. In addition, Thursday night March 6th will be Story Night at 6:30 pm, come in pj's for a bedtime story. Be sure to check our school calendar for all the details!
I’m also excited to announce that our wonderful PTO will be bringing the Book Fair to Hussey Elementary during the week of March 17th. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore new books and find stories they’ll love. We encourage families to visit the Book Fair and support our school’s reading initiatives. It’s always an exciting event, and we can’t wait to see our students’ enthusiasm for reading continue to grow!
March is also a time when we begin to prepare for the end of the school year. Parent-teacher conferences will take place in the coming weeks, and I encourage all parents and guardians to attend. These meetings are a great opportunity to discuss your child's progress and collaborate with teachers on how we can continue to support their growth.
As always, thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, we make Hussey Elementary a great place for children to learn and grow. I look forward to a productive and enjoyable month ahead!
Warm regards,
Tina Brackley McDonald
