May is Blooming with Laughter and Learning
may notes

As we step into the beautiful month of May, it’s hard to believe how quickly this school year has flown by! This month brings a very special opportunity to celebrate some of the most important people in our school community — our incredible teachers.

Next week, we proudly honor our dedicated teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. At Lincoln Elementary, our teachers do far more than deliver lessons — they spark curiosity, nurture confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Every day, they pour their hearts into making sure each child is supported, challenged, and cared for.

We invite you to join us in showing appreciation in big and small ways. A simple note from a student, a kind word from a family member, or a colorful picture drawn with love can mean the world to a teacher. We are also planning a few special surprises throughout the week to let our teachers know just how much they mean to us!

Healthy Habits Start with Healthy Drinks!

At Lincoln, we are committed to helping our students make healthy choices every day. Lately, we’ve noticed more energy drinks and sodas being brought to school. These drinks are often packed with high levels of caffeine and sugar, which can cause headaches, trouble sleeping, nervousness, and even heart problems in children. They also make it harder for students to stay focused and energized throughout the school day.

We kindly ask families to help by encouraging healthier beverage choices like water. Limiting sugary and caffeinated drinks helps students stay hydrated, alert, and ready to learn!

Thank you for working with us to support the health and well-being of all our students!
